The circular VAV terminal unit is designed for supply or extract air control in variable air volume systems. It controls volume flow rate, room pressure, or duct pressure, with electronic control components (Easy, Compact, Universal, LABCONTROL) ensuring high accuracy even with an upstream bend (R = 1D). Optional accessories include acoustic cladding and secondary silencers.
Available in multiple sizes from 100 to 400 mm with a flow range of 45–5430 m³/h and airflow up to 12 m/s. It meets EN 1751 leakage standards (closed blade up to class 3, casing class C).
Application

For controlling, restricting, or shutting off supply and extract air flows.
Closed-loop volume flow control using an external power supply.
For variable or constant volume flow systems.
Shut-off by means of switching (by others).
Can also be used for duct or room pressure control with suitable control components.
Design tip: Limit internal duct velocity ≤8 m/s; avoid <30% opening sustained operation; use larger-diameter unit for
high-load applications to limit noise.
