The volume control damper is suitable for airflow regulation, pressure control or to isolate a section of the ductwork from the rest of the HVAC system. It is designed for controlling air flow and pressure in low and medium pressure HVAC systems.
The dampers can be available for square, rectangular, circular and flat oval ducting, and supplied with side and tip seals to meet specified low closed blade leakage requirements. Blade sealing conforms to EN 1751 leakage standards — closed blade up to Class 3 (optional, non-standard).
Application
Multileaf dampers as a control element in the volume flow rate and differential pressure control in ventilation and air conditioning systems.
For shutting off ducts and openings in walls and ceiling slabs.
Parallel action blades are preferably used for opening/closing.
Due to their characteristics, opposed action blades are preferable for variable operation.
Steel and stainless steel variants with brass or stainless steel bearings are suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Damper casing and blades are made in galvanized sheet steel. Standard case bearings are in sintered brass capable of operating up to 300°C.
Damper blades are fitted with 12 mm diameter stainless steel shaft.
Blade tip seals: Silicone — available as an optional upgrade to standard products; max. operating temperature 200°C.
